🌱🎭  LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS 🎭🌱AUDITIONS!

The time has come… we’re ready to find our Little Shop of Horrors Cast! 🪴🩸

 

Auditions will take place on Sunday 27th September at Rainham School for Girls.

Whether you’re hoping to take on a principal role, or want to be in the ensemble, everyone will take part in the ensemble audition and those auditioning for a principal role will return at the relevant time listed below.

Here’s everything you need to know about the day:

🕤 9:30am — Arrival & check-in

🕙 10:00am — Ensemble Audition Begins

 

ENSEMBLE AUDITION | 10:00am–12:00pm

Everyone auditioning will take part in this section, regardless of whether you are auditioning for a principal role or ensemble. You will be taught:

🎶 A section of a song and perform it in small groups

💃 A short piece of choreography and perform it in groups

 

PRINCIPAL DANCER AUDITION | 12:15pm–1:00pm

For those auditioning for a Principal Dancer, will be learning an advanced piece of choreography and performing it in small groups.

 

AUDREY & URCHINS AUDITION | 1:00pm–2:00pm

Those auditioning for Audrey or the Urchins will:

💃 Learn and perform a piece of movement in small groups

🎶 Work through the harmonies provided in the audition pack

🎤 Have time to practise before performing the material for the audition panel later on.

PRINCIPAL AUDITIONS | From 2:00pm onwards

Anyone auditioning for a principal role will need to be ready to come into the audition room from 2:00pm to perform their chosen song and piece of dialogue. We may ask you to come back into the room to audition for another role, so please take a look through all of the available audition material beforehand.

You do not need to learn every piece off by heart — we simply want you to be familiar with the material.

 

⏰ Principal auditions will conclude by 7:00pm at the latest, although we may finish earlier. Please ensure that parents/guardians are contactable throughout the day and are available to collect you when required. Please bring lots of water, snacks and food with you for the day!

📅 IF SUCCESSFUL…

Rehearsals for ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ will commence on Sunday 10th January 2027 and will be weekly until show week (w/c 12th July 2027).

Please make sure that you are available to attend rehearsals from this date and show week if you are successful in your audition.

The Production Fee and refunds:

Stage Theatre Society has a production fee for its successful cast members.

For this show, the fee is £190 per person. This includes the cost of weekly rehearsals, basic generic costume, a show t-shirt and of course - the week at the theatre.

Please note that, to ensure we are able to meet the costs of the shows, no production fee is refundable. Membership payments must be paid prior to rehearsals commencing in January.

Outstanding balances may affect participation.
